Nike Sportswear 2012 Spring/Summer Rosche Run | Hypebeast
Nike is making a strong case as the unofficial athletic apparel provider for the 2012 Summer Olympic games, building a comprehensive collection of relaxed training gear, performance enhancing competition garbs, casualwear paying homage to past games, and of course innovative footwear. Continuing with that very aspiring ethos, the iconic brand presents the Nike Sportswear Roshe Run “Camo.” Gaining inspiration from the Free technology, the Roshe Run features a lightweight and comfortable sole with a camouflage upper. Be on the lookout for this model to release right around the start of the London Games. ...
Lanvin Black Ridge Tennis Sneakers | Hypebeast
French fashion house Lanvin adds yet another sneaker with a uniquely textured upper to its current spring/summer collection. The Black Ridge Tennis Sneaker features a soft leather upper with ridge detail, giving a wave-like appearance to a standard mid-top silhouette. Nike LeBron 9 “Bright Mango” | Hypebeast
While certainly not as bold as the All-Star “Big Bang,” the Nike LeBron 9 “Bright Mango” still manages to pack a punch. While the upper is constructed mainly of blacks and silvers, the designers took every opportunity to infuse the mango influence into accent areas like around the swoosh, along the liner, on the tongue signature, and on the midsole splatter. The “Bright Mango” is expected to be released March 2 at select Nike retailers, including Social Status. ...
Nike Air Foamposite One “Galaxy” Camp Outs Begin | Hypebeast
What came as a surprise to many, the December 2011 Retro release of the Jordan 11 “Concord” resulted in a rare breakout of riots across nationwide retailers. Somewhat surprising given the current state of footwear culture, the hype had seemingly developed a renewed energy despite the pair’s relatively wide distribution map. In a similar fashion, this weekend’s upcoming Nike Air Foamposite One “Galaxy” release has sparked a string of camp outs across various cities, some upwards of one to two weeks in advance of the pair’s actual drop on February 24. The Air Foamposite One – a shoe that is arguably one of the most recognizable silhouettes within Nike’s rich basketball archives – has seen a range of Retro releases and colorway iterations over the past few years. Yet, while the hype surrounding these past releases was somewhat notable, it is safe to say that the latest “Galaxy” anticipation has garnered the most mainstream attention and discussion. If memory serves, the last time a sneaker camp out in excess of 7-10 days was seen was on behalf of the highly regarded Nike Air Yeezy – a shoe that was not only a namesake to Ye himself, but also was also a completely original silhouette designed under his direction. Not to mention the pair’s availability was more limited. So, what do you think about the recent “Galaxy” camp outs and do you think that the hype is merited? Will you be picking up (or trying to) a pair on release day? Let the games begin. ...

Nike HTM Flyknit: Hiroshi Fujiwara & Mark Parker | Hypebeast
Similar to when our favorite musicians come together in the studio, the team began throwing ideas back and forth immediately tinkering with machinery, threads and structure, thus snowballing the possibilities. We discovered further that due to countless failed attempts trying to get a dynamic knit-like material to remain stiff, Flywire was inserted into the fabric to add structure, stability and fit. Continuing with the unique color blends, one designer stated “you have to almost think three dimensionally on how the colors stay together, if you look at the black, its just not a solid black, there’s a texture and a depth to it.” The Flyknit is slated for a July general release, with the HTM collection currently available at 21 Mercer with quantities limited to 100 per pair. So if you’re in the New York area, check out the future of footwear ...
Nike SB Dunk High “Guinness” | Hypebeast
With St. Patrick’s Day right around the corner, the usual green tributes to the holiday are about to roll out in droves. Eschewing the typical look for a better source of inspiration, the “Guinness” Nike SB Dunk High takes cues from the tasty Irish Stout with a black leather upper alongside Light British Tan accents on the textured Swoosh, tongue tab branding and outsole. A contrasting white midsole and two sets of laces complete the package. The “Guinness” Dunk High is available now from Premier and other Nike SB stockists for $90 USD. ...

Nike Lunar Hyperdunk | Hypebeast
These responsive cables are loose when at rest and dynamic in motion, tensing to help stabilize the foot. A synthetic heel clip enhances lockdown, as the engineered foam and mesh of the upper reduces weight while further increasing breathability. Simultaneously, the collar of the shoe wraps lower in the back and higher over the front, increasing flexibility and lateral stability in the heel and ankle. The open mesh tongue and full inner sleeve provide lightweight ventilation and a more secure, comfortable fit. A 3D-shaped, glass-reinforced, composite mid-foot shank offers torsional rigidity and responsiveness. Moving to the outsole, solid rubber provides durability and traction on a variety of surfaces while a modified traction pattern and forefoot pivot circle enhance multi-direction grip. ...
Alexander McQueen x PUMA 2012 Spring/Summer Street Climb Mid Leather | Hypebeast
Building momentum through a successful string of Spring/Summer 2012 footwear releases, Alexander McQueen and PUMA debut the latest Street Climb Mid, this time making use of a buttery soft calfskin leather. Each installment from the taut three-pack boasts a solitary chromatic leather upper and is positioned atop a pure white outsole. Consistent with its recent fabric-based Street Climb Mid releases, the pair is marked with unique midsole markings toward the toe that give nod to diamond etchings through a multitude of sharply angled geometrics. Understated perforations in the interior leather lining of each iteration, brushed metal lace hardware and a matching tongue clasp finish off the mature footwear silhouettes. ...
